It was enjoyable and quirky without coming across as cheesy. And, while I loved Moretz in Kick Ass, I agree, having Tom get advice from his younger sister was a bit weird. I think they were going for an overall Charlie Brown type thing, but who knows. Anyway, while Moretz' character coming across as believable was a bit off, she still did a fine job with the role. And, Deschanel brings her normal underwhelming explosive acting style which somehow comes across as magical. Anyway, it's a great renter for the hopeless romantic in us all. And I DID vote for McCain, but I drive a BLACK sports car! BOO YAA! So, I finally added this to my NF view list, not too shabby. It was enjoyable and quirky without coming across as cheesy. I hated the obligatory child that talks like an adult, but I loved almost everything else about this movie. It felt VERY real outside those few scenes with that dipshit kid.
