Finally watched this the other night, H-Man was dead on, and because the acting was so impeccable, you couldn't easily pull yourself out of the story, you wanted to, but the performances were so genuine. And, yes, my only beef was you never see how she survived the lake and/or how she became the avenging angel. Chad Lindberg pulled off a very difficult, and career-risky role too boot. Ballsy!

Very cool and fun movie - in my opinion The Hulk & Ironman were the best with Capt. America special consideration - Did not like Black widows character - Thanos at the end of the movie - You can google images of Thanos & Avengers and you will get him decapitating Ironman.....

I am through the second book, just started reading the third book. You know me, I am not a reader, so yea, thus the six-stars, it captivated me in a way I wasn't expecting. And, yes, the books are better, but only because you get into the mind of Katniss. Like how her lack of expression in the games is by design, her playing to the cameras etc. As with ALL books, you hear (or read) the characters' thoughts, and that just can't always translate on screen. Having a voice-over for this film would have been dreadful.

Personally, I think the movie complements the book rather effectively. There were a few characters cut, and how she gets the pin had to be changed because of that character being cut, which irked a lot of fans. But, yea, I stick by my six stars, it moved me . . . as corny as that sounds.

Just saw it. Frankly, I'm surprised you gave it a full 6 gun salute. I haven't read the book yet, but I'm willing to guess it will be better than the film (as most tend to be).

I watched ( started watching) this movie for the first time this past weekend. It started off okay, but I was extremely offended and couldn't watch it anymore. Why was almost EVERYONE that worked for the rich black folks, white??? Sorry, but that's not real life... It was like the filmmaker was making a point in the movie, that he only wanted the wait staff, cooks, servants, maids, personal assistant, etc, to be white.. Really???? It was the filmmaker saying to white people, "look, I'm making a movie about rich black people and now all of YOU white folks can work for us now".. I find that attitude to be very offensive and wished I had never contributed to the filmmaker's bankroll by renting it.
