Somehow, the thought of turning this moody, escapist drama into a slapstick Burton/Depp/Hollywood ATM kinda ruined it for me – until this review. Let me be clear…I have fond memories of doing my 5th grade homework while watching DARK SHADOWS (one of the few "guilty pleasures" I was allowed in a strict, religious household) so I am very wary of tarnishing my childhood memories. Even though I am an avid Burton/Depp fan, adore Eva Green and truly believe that Chloë Grace Moretz is the next Natalie Portman, I still avoided this film – until this review. Even if I don't win this contest, I will still buy the Blue-Ray copy of DS. Thanks for the tip.

I need to tell you… i liked it and it was nice i got to see it twice. on my tv and at my local mall Regal. And wouldnt mind getting a chance to watch it closer on my tv yet again.
